In a logic of continuous development and modernization of our fleet, SD Aviation has chosen the Citation M2.
Since operating the first jets, Embraer Phenom 100 and Cessna Mustang, our company has acquired the skills necessary for operations on this type of aircraft. But it is important for us to maintain the quality and reliability of our aircraft. These machines are aging and deteriorating little by little, with the regular use of our members in particular. Manufacturers have also been able to evolve and develop new aircraft that are more efficient and economical.
Together, SD Aviation and the Club Entreprises have made the choice to renew part of our fleet.
The Cessna M2 Gen 2 (C525) is one of the latest additions to the American manufacturer. Straddling our two current “Lights Jets” (Phenom 100 and Mustang), it will be the ideal compromise. More spacious than the Mustang, faster and less limited in terms of distance, the Cessna M2 will be a perfect tool to replace the Phenom 100.
The issue of sustainable development is also a factor that we take into account in this decision. These new planes will allow us to save fuel thanks to their last-generation Williams International engines. For some of our members' trips, it will even be an alternative to the Phenom 300, since it can travel up to 2,800 km, or 600 km more than the Phenom 100.
Finally, the latest technologies such as the Garmin 3000, or the comfort of its new cabin will be a major asset for Public Transport. We are confident that these new aircraft will seduce our customers thanks to their performance and comfort, at an affordable price compared to their competitors.
The first of the 3 planes ordered will arrive in Vendée at the end of summer 2024.
